Cam'Ron & Crew's Deal Almost Finalized 6:00AM ET September 1st, 2010 Contributor : Chris G.

The reunited Dipset is allegedly close to signing a deal with Interscope Records. Both Cam'Ron and Jim Jones have recently hinted at the deal being close to final, and now reports are circulating that everything is pretty much in place for the New York-based crew to sign on the dotted line.
Once the deal is done, Killa Cam, Jimmy, Juelz Santana and Freekey Zekey will be on the former label of rival 50 Cent and his G-Unit crew.
There are sure to be a few not-so-subliminal disses thrown back-and-forth regarding that fact.

G-Unit and Young Buck seem looked in what seems to be a neverending drama. Young Buck is apparently taking 50 Cent to court. Buck has issues with the terms of his release apparently, and wants control of his G-Unit-released material.
Buck is allegedly seeking an amount that could be as much as $5 million dollars. According to the Nashville City Paper, Young Buck will sue 50 Cent, G-Unit and Sha Money XL.

Rapper Has No Beef With Joe Budden 3:00PM ET August 31st, 2010 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff

Rapper Fabolous recently sat down with Complex to discuss his new album and the misunderstanding between him and Joe Budden on Twitter. "The Joe Budden thing was really just taken out of context," said Fab of the fact that he appeared to have ignored Budden's request on Twitter to get him on a track with Budden and Lloyd Banks. "I didn’t see it at first. I didn’t see his request. I was actually bullsh*tting on Twitter, doing something else. When I did see it, I had to make sure it was even true because people say things on Twitter and put people’s names to it and stuff."
"The first time he asked me to do a joint, it was a different set-up," explained Fabolous. "He had a bunch of other people on it and I didn’t think that worked for me, so we didn’t do it. We didn’t speak back at that point, either. We just ended up not doing it. This time he reached out, but the way he did it, people took it out of context and thought because he said, 'Are you gonna avoid me like last time?' people thought, 'Oh, does Fab not wanna get on a joint with Joe?' which led to the #FabScaredLike trending topic, which was actually funny. I don’t take Twitter that serious. It’s all in good humor. I’ve made fun of people on Twitter and it’s whatever. People made it more than it really was."

''I Don't Think 'Fancy' Is That Pop Record'' 6:00AM ET August 31st, 2010 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff

Thank Me Later, the debut album from Young Money superstar Drake, crossed the million sales mark this week, a victory for almost any artist in the download era. But some fans were expecting the Canadian rapper to smash sales in his first week back in June and Young Money CEO Cortez Bryant felt the need to explain why he thought the album wasn't quite as much of a juggernaut as some might have anticipated.
"The first week was great but [Drake] still need that big smash pop hit like we had with [Lil] Wayne's 'Lollipop,'" Bryant said in an interview. "Wayne got his million because he had that urban side and he crossed over to that pop demographic. I believe Drake would've got those million sales if we would've had that pop record. I don't think 'Fancy' is that pop record either...It'll go so far, but when we drop 'Show Me A Good Time' in September -- that has the potential to be that big record."

Legendary rapper Ice Cube has released the track listing for his completed, soon-to-be-released album I Am the West, and there looks to be contributions from his son, rapper OMG, and a reunion of sorts with his former Westside Connection bandmate, W.C.
Other than those two, Jayo Felony makes an appearance and the rest of the album is dominated by Cube himself. The rapper announced weeks ago that, despite his hopes, Dr. Dre would not be appearing on his album in any capacity. I Am the West is set for a September 28th release. Cube's latest film, the comedy Lottery Ticket, has only performed moderately at the box office and it appears his focus has shifted, at least for the time being, back to his music career.

1. A Boy Was Conceived 2. Soul On Ice 3. Life In California Ft. Jayo & WC 4. She Couldnt Make It On Her Own Ft. OMG & Doughboy 5. Urbanian 6. Y'all Know How I Am Ft. OMG, WC, Doughboy & Maylay 7.
