Rapper Releases Viral Video To Reveal Album Title 1:00PM ET July 30, 2010 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff

Rapper N.O.R.E. has announced he has an upcoming album in the works, entitled S.U.P.E.R.T.H.U.G. The rapper released a viral video that was shot with a flipcam as he hung out in New York. In the vid he confirms the new title for what will be his eighth album, including his releases with partner Capone. Capone-N-Noreaga just released War Report 2 earlier this month. “You see me, you see me? On my joint. This is my hood,” N.O.R.E. said jokingly for the camera. “I’m in Left Rack City, in New York City when I drop my new album. I’m in my hood. No security.”
It had been rumored that his album title would be N.O.R.E. Pt 2: Born Again, but the rapper has changed it to the name that fans will remember as the title of his biggest hit single from 1998. N.O.R.E. also debuted his new song “The NutCracker” that night on Funkmaster Flex’s show.

Rapper Will Make Official Announcement Next Week 5:00PM ET July 30, 2010 Contributor : Hip Hop Blog Staff

After weeks of speculation, sources close to Wyclef Jean have confirmed that the rapper/songwriter/Producer will officially announce his bid for the Haitian presidency next Thursday, on August 5th. The 37-year-old was born in Haiti, but immigrated to the United States at the age of nine, living in Brooklyn before finally settling in South Orange, New Jersey. The rapper's love for his homeland has been well-documented for years, but has been especially visible since the January earthquake that devastated Port-Au-Prince. Since then, he's worked diligently to raise money in Haiti and around the world for those still suffering on the island.
The rapper will make his official announcement just two days prior to the country’s August 7th deadline to submit his plan for running for President. "I think if Wyclef is allowed to run he will have a straight victory," political leader and former presidential candidate Himmler Rebu told Reuters yesterday.
